The FN3 series load switch is an indoor high-voltage electrical equipment, mainly used in three-phase AC 50Hz power networks with rated voltage of 6kV or 12kV. It undertakes the tasks of breaking and closing load current and overload current, and can also be used to operate no-load long lines, no-load transformers and capacitors.
1. Main models and technical parameters
The FN3 series mainly includes models such as FN3-12/400A, FN3-12R, FN3-12R/S and so on. Among them, FN3-12/400A is the representative specification with a rated current of 400A in this series.

Working voltage: 12.7kV.
Rated current: 400A (common specification, and there are also 630A and other specifications).

2. Structural and functional characteristics
This switch is composed of a base frame, transmission mechanism, post insulator, knife switch, arc extinguishing device and other parts. Its structural design allows the use of CS3 type or CS2 type manual operating mechanisms.
The key functional feature is that it can be combined with RN3 type high-voltage fuses. Models with fuses (such as FN3-12R/S) have the ability to cut off short-circuit current and can be used as overload and short-circuit protection switches.
3. Operating environment and installation requirements
The FN3 load switch is suitable for indoor environments with the following conditions:
Altitude not exceeding 1000 meters.
Ambient air temperature not higher than +40℃ and not lower than -10℃.
Air relative humidity not more than 90% (when the temperature is +25℃).
The environment should be free of conductive dust, corrosive gases that damage metals and insulation, severe vibrations and impacts, and no fire and explosion hazards.
During installation, the load switch should usually be installed on a vertical wall or metal frame. The distance from its main shaft to the ground is recommended to be 2.5 meters, and the fulcrum of the operating handle should be no less than 1.1 meters from the ground.
